the cheap bakelite bulb sockets have been widely used in China, from workshops to living rooms for over 4 decades without any change. with a bulb and some wire, it makes a practical and reliable pendant lamp for less than 10 RMB.
Designed in 2006, the birds lamps were made to inherite the simplicity of the bakelite sockets but at the same time offer the user some more room for imagination -- by adding a little angle.
and when used in cluster with low wattage bulbs, no shade is needed, the bulbs diffuse and decorate themselves.
这系列灯具的设计目的在于继承传统灯头简单实用特点的同时给予使用者一些想象空间--仅靠一个小小角度的改变。
当灯头多个组合使用的时候，配合小功耗灯泡，不用灯罩也能创造柔和的光线氛围，灯泡们自己柔化和妆点了自己。
